A native of New Jersey, Grant came to Southern California as a teenager and began playing in the underground club scene.  A multi-instrumentalist and composer who has played everything from punk rock to reggae to Irish folk music, he started playing the upright bass in 2000.  He cites his influences as James Jamerson, Ashton “Family Man” Barett, and Ray Brown.
